The theme "Light and Shadow" is our interpretation of common concepts related to duality. We explore metaphorical ideas alongside physical laws on two essencial concepts - Movement and Balance - and how they influence each other. We encourage a back-and-forth: a dialogue between the two.

Generally speaking we take movement for granted. Yet when examined closely it is fascinating. For instance, the way that a body changes its position in space or how an opposition of forces keeps the universe in constant motion. What makes it even more captivating is that this force introduces the phenomena of time. We analyse a different aspect of this phenomenon and explore the kinetic impression perceived by the viewer of a static object. It is intriguing how some forms and patterns at rest can seem to be moving yet they are not, as they were giving an illusion of motion but in reality were frozen in time.

It is intriguing how different bodies interact with light and cast shadows allowing a clearer definition of volume and texture.

Understanding Balance as the equilibrium of forces, the even distribution and equal proportions of the parts, leads us to the idea that these perpetual oppositions are complementary. Everything depends on its opposite to exist. Where there is light there is shadow and these align in ways that give us an understanding of a body.

In conclusion, "Light and Shadow" represents the harmony of opposites and the forces that drives it. It is a concept that speaks to each one of us in different ways but presents itself the same way to everyone.
